Families together to take care of our green classroom!
It takes an entire village to raise a child.
Afircan proverb
On Wednesday 11 June the garden of our Polo was transformed into a place full of life, hands at work and sincere smiles: many families met to take care of our precious green classroom.
Moms, dads, grandparents and older brothers arrived with comfortable clothes, work tools and a great desire to do.
It was an afternoon spent in the open air, with concrete gestures, sharing and the simple pleasure of being together. A healthy time that gave children - and adults - a precious example: that of a community that takes care of its spaces and its relationships.
Our garden, full of movement and colours, looked like something out of an impressionist painting, but even more it was reminiscent of the famous African proverb: It takes an entire village to raise a child.
Well, that village was there yesterday and gave a beautiful lesson in active citizenship: everyone can offer something of themselves and, together. great things can be done!
A heartfelt thank you to all the families who participated, and to our cook Cida for the delicious snack, shared in a convivial spirit.
