Those who don't read, by the time they're seventy, will have lived only one life: their own.
Umberto Eco
Reading is a right that our school is committed to guaranteeing children every day. Stories, with their words, are an inexhaustible source of stimulation that, if offered consistently, profoundly impact children's lives. Through storytelling and reading, children learn to recognize their emotions, strengthening their empathy for others; they enrich their vocabulary, improve their grammatical structure; they train their attention span and develop their imagination and creativity.
The "book cabinet," as V.G. 5anni called it, is a space designed for you, parents. Reading is an activity we regularly engage in at our center, for all ages. We will leave the books read during the week on display, so you can consult them and thus reinforce this inexhaustible source of stimulation.
Do not take books home from the display! This display is an invitation to reading, which you can continue immediately afterward.
You can photograph or note the titles and go to the library to borrow them: this will transform this gesture into a beautiful and regular literary encounter, essential for growth.
