At the Benassi Children's Centre, boys and girls and families lived an intense and significant experience: a journey of peace created in collaboration with the Mani Tese association.
The project, an integral part of the "Peace Games" educational plan, involved children in activities aimed at developing empathy, listening and non-violent conflict management.
One of the most evocative moments was the "hunt for peace signs", inspired by the book Boom! The war of colours: among the trees in the garden, small colored rags - symbols of hope and reconciliation - were discovered and woven together to create a wreath of peace.
The journey ended at the Mani Tese headquarters, a place that we like to imagine as a "chest of dreams": born from those who believed it was possible to build something beautiful, today it welcomes and preserves the dreams of those who have the courage to share them.
We are back with a simple but profound task to share with families: Let's ask ourselves how we are doing. Let's ask ourselves what our dreams are. Let's listen to those of others and... let's never stop dreaming of a world of peace!
We are deeply grateful to Mani Tese for having welcomed, accompanied and inspired us on this stretch of the journey and we invite everyone, especially those who were unable to visit the Manitese headquarters, to do so!
