On Tuesday 22 October our Center opened its doors to parents of older children to start reflecting together on what is really necessary to accompany children to primary school.
We reasoned that the first pre-requisites are curiosity, good expectations, a good dose of self-esteem and a sense of self-efficacy and the ability to withstand frustrations and rejoice in successes: requirements that are learned by living daily experiences, starting from the interests of boys and girls.
We therefore invited parents to try out first-hand some playful experiences aimed at training, reinforcing and verifying linguistic and logical-mathematical prerequisites, leaving it up to them to tell us which skills they promote.
This meeting has become such a precious opportunity to re-discover, together, that the privileged learning tool is play... also in preparation for entering primary school!
Thank you all for participating, listening and... PLAYING with us!
