“Let's set out into the deep” (LC 5,4) is the theme and common thread of the project proposal for this school year. Suggested by the national FISM in the year in which it celebrates the 50th anniversary of its foundation, it was welcomed by the educational staff of the Benassi Children's Center for its strong reference to the metaphor par excellence of education: the journey.
Journey that we undertook with the boys and girls, letting ourselves be guided by them, by their interests and their countless talents; respecting everyone's times and peculiarities and always listening to the great thoughts that each one gives us.
In creating this documentation we wanted the boys and girls, protagonists of the educational coordinates that are narrated in it, to be invaluable co-authors: the captions that you find in this collection are the thoughts and words spoken by the older ones when commenting on the images that portray them or while the action was taking place which, in the case of the nursery children, was described by the educators. .
The involvement and protagonism of boys and girls, in this phase of reconstruction and restitution of the path taken together, is a renewed confirmation of the idea of childhood that accompanies the educational mandate of our centre: a childhood that is already competent from an early age, which we wish to place at the center as the absolute protagonist of the growth path that concerns it; an educational mandate that is guided by coordinates necessary to encourage the growth path of boys and girls, without forgetting, however, that the most important coordinate is precisely them, the protagonists of our educational journey!
