«You can know a man's heart by the way he treats animals»
Immanuel Kant
Monday 17 April, eighth appointment with the "guess who's coming to school" project: today it's Simona's turn, Ethan's mother. Simona is a veterinarian who treats both conventional animals (dogs or cats) and unconventional animals such as parrots, chinchillas, turtles and chameleons. Today Simona brought us two puppy dogs, a chameleon named Codi, a ram rabbit, two giant African snails and a chinchilla. He explained how important it is to provide prevention to our animal friends, introducing children to one of the most beautiful professions. The educational value of pets is demonstrated by multiple studies. The child who grows up with a dog, a cat or another animal spontaneously learns to be responsible and take care of another living being. Greater empathy and serenity are observed in relationships with others and his behavior proves to be more balanced, healthy and serene.
