Our nursery school is of Christian inspiration and has its roots in the ideals proposed and spread by the Gospel, placing the values of life, hospitality, solidarity and peace at the basis of its operations.
It welcomes all the boys and girls who choose it without distinction of sex, culture, race, religion, socio-economic and psycho-physical conditions.
Our school is called "Laura Benassi" to remember the benefactress who in 1909, upon her death, donated a bequest to the parish for the Christian education of girls: initially the management was entrusted to the Sisters of Charity.
On 20 September 1966 the new school was inaugurated and management passed to the Sisters of Jesus the Good Shepherd; in 1972 families were involved in active participation in the life of the school with the birth of the "Statute of the Parents-School Committee". In 1984 the first agreement was signed with the municipal administration of Medolla and since 2001 our school has been recognized as an equal school (parity decree n° 488/DEL 28/02/2001, PROT.N. 3244 DEL 02/07/01).
The Equal Nursery School is managed by the Parish of Saints Senesio and Teopompo with the aim of ensuring the full realization of the right to education for girls and boys aged three to six, freely enrolled by their families; since 2004 all employees have been lay.
The School joins the FISM (Italian Federation of Nursery Schools) of Modena
